How it connects

Oracle NetSuite is a cloud ERP widely used by mid-sized importers, distributors and consumer brands for accounting, purchasing and inventory. Ocean carrier, forwarder and terminal invoices typically enter NetSuite as vendor bills.

ATAHSKIA reads vendor bills and expense lines coded to your D&D, per diem and storage accounts through NetSuite's web services, matches them to containers and B/Ls, and runs the 20 element check of 46 CFR § 541.6 plus the 30-day issuance rule of § 541.7. With write-back enabled, failing bills get a custom field value or approval status your team defines, and the audit packet is attached to the bill.

For mid-sized importers without a dedicated D&D desk, this is often the first time anyone checks a demurrage line before it is paid. The bill stays in NetSuite, AP keeps control, and the dispute runs on the § 541.8 clock.

Setup

  1. Create an integration record

Your NetSuite administrator creates an integration record and an integration role limited to vendor bills, vendor credits and the fields you choose.

  2. Issue tokens

Generate token-based authentication credentials for that role and enter them on the Integrations page.

  3. Map accounts and fields

Choose the expense accounts used for D&D and the fields that carry container and B/L numbers.

  4. Decide on write-back

Pick whether failing bills get a custom field value, a pending approval status, an attachment, or nothing at all.

  5. Backfill 12 months

Historic bills load for the retrospective audit, with the report ready in 48 hours.

What it recovers

Missing free time dates

A forwarder's pass-through demurrage bill lists no free time start or end date. It is held in approval and the relief request is drafted.

Duplicate charges across vendors

The same container's storage appears on a terminal bill and a forwarder bill. The overlap is flagged before both are paid.

Recovery reporting for finance

Vendor credits are tied to the original bill, so the CFO sees billed, disputed and recovered D&D by carrier and month.

Oracle NetSuite integration FAQ

Do we need to add custom fields?

Only if you want container and B/L numbers on the bill and they are not there today. Many teams already record them in the memo.

Can the role be restricted?

Yes. We recommend a dedicated integration role limited to the records the audit needs.

Is this an Oracle partner integration?

No partnership is claimed. ATAHSKIA uses the web services NetSuite makes available to its customers.
